Blinds built for Lexington houses, not a warehouse shelf

I am Drew Farley, and I own and run Love Is Blinds in Central Kentucky. When you search for blinds in Lexington you get two kinds of results: big-box shelves of stock sizes, and companies where the person who sells never touches the install. I do it differently. I bring the sample case to your home, measure every window with a laser, and my own crew installs. The quote you approve is the product you get, fitted to the actual opening.

Faux wood or real wood? Lexington's answer is usually both

Bluegrass humidity decides more than style does. Faux wood goes in the bathrooms, the kitchen, the laundry room, and any window that takes hard direct sun, because it will not warp or swell. Real wood earns the living room, the dining room, and the study, where its warmth shows and the air stays dry. Most Lexington homes end up with a mix, and I will tell you room by room which is which, including where the cheaper slat is honestly the better choice. There is a deeper explanation in my post on faux wood and Bluegrass humidity.

From Chevy Chase to Hamburg, the houses are different and the blinds should be too

A century-old brick home in Chevy Chase or Ashland Park has settled frames, deep casings, and openings that measure a half inch different side to side. A new build out toward Hamburg or Andover has tall stacked glass and builder-grade light control. Stock blinds fit neither. Every window I measure gets ordered to its own numbers, which is why the blinds sit square even when the frame is not. If your windows are older, my note on inside versus outside mount explains the call I make at each opening.

Cordless comes standard, motorized when it earns its keep

Cordless lift is the default on every blind I sell, safer with kids and pets and cleaner looking on the window. For two-story great rooms and stairwell glass, motorization stops being a luxury and becomes the only practical answer. I will tell you honestly which windows justify a motor and which do not.

What custom blinds cost in Lexington

It depends on the window count, the sizes, the material, and any specialty shapes, and everything is built to your openings, so the honest number comes from the free in-home measure. I wrote a plain-language Lexington cost guide that explains every price driver before I ever ring your doorbell. The quote is itemized, on the spot, with no pressure and no obligation.

Questions Lexington homeowners ask.

How fast can I get custom blinds installed in Lexington?
Most projects run two to four weeks from consultation to install day. You get the timeline in writing before anything is ordered, and my own crew installs, usually in one visit.
Do you serve all of Lexington and Fayette County?
Yes. I cover Lexington including Chevy Chase, Ashland Park, Hamburg, Andover, Beaumont, Tates Creek, and Masterson Station, plus Nicholasville, Georgetown, Versailles, and Winchester.
Are custom blinds really better than big-box blinds?
For standard-size new windows, a stock blind can be fine. For Lexington's older homes and for any window that is even slightly out of square, custom wins because the blind is built to the measured opening instead of trimmed to almost fit.
Who actually comes to my house?
I do. I measure your windows, quote on the spot, and my own employees install. No subcontractors, drop cloths down, cleanup included.

Keep exploring.
